(Mistakenly added this to the wrong journal, so y'all get to see it too. Cut for pictures of food.)

No... no, I decidedly do not get hungry on this eating plan.

Here, for example, is what I had for dinner.

Three spears of oven-roasted asparagus, the leftover garlic green beans from last night, some fresh cucumber, celery, red pepper and grape tomatoes (with dip), some salsa chicken (see previous entry for "recipe") and a salad (bagged, but with grape tomatoes and almond slices on top (and ranch dressing).

A side shot to show the size of this salad bowl. Not a petite salad. I honestly could not eat the last cup or so of it. I was just too full.

Close up of the salad.

Closeup of my plate. that's probably a half cup of chicken, about as much green beans and two generous tablespoons of dip.

So... yeah, I kind of laugh when people say they worry that I'm not eating enough (or well)

For me to eat correctly, I have to eat more, more often, than usual. My biggest problem is not eating until I'm starving and then eating junk. That, and binging on sweets.

I'd actually do very well if someone would put the proper food in front of me at regular intervals so I wouldn't have to think about it.

Yeah, I understand. I've been talking on my food-journal (lj-user="teamlean")about how the secret to success for me with this way of eating is to make it the easiest thing to grab. If I've got veggies cut up or in the freezer ready to sautee or salad ready to go, it's much more likely that I'll choose to do that rather than grab junk. So I'm putting whatever "junk" I haven't tossed at the top/back of the pantry and all the good stuff (which I prep to be ready to eat as soon as I come home from the market) in front, literally /filling/ the refrigerator.

Since I'm the only one who's going to put good stuff in front of me, I have to be sure to do it. :)

same here. I decided tht since I wanted to lose more weight, and I was the one doing all the cooking, it was my responsibility to make sure we had good food to eat. Man is it easy to eat right if that's what you have in the house! I'm even at the point that a walk down the junk food aisle barely even tempts me...

Tonight's supper was a beef and veggie chili, with TONS of nice fresh veggies. and home-made 80% whole wheat bread, freshly made today :D

The biggest challenge for me will be once I start back to work and dont have the time to prepare a lot of amazing meals.

Hmmm I like your version of "eating right."
