In which we make a strange request...
May. 14th, 2007 12:15 pmDoes anyone on my flist practice or know someone who practices voudoun/voodoo? I ask from a desire to find out more for a writing project so that I don't unintentionally write something that would offend or drastically misinterpret the beliefs of a living religion.
It would be really great to be able to spend 10 minutes on the phone with someone who knew the basics of this belief system. I'm looking less for "doing hoodoo/magic" and more "views of the afterlife" stuff. I've found a plethora of "this is what the various lwa/loa do/are, and these are the spells/rituals", but nothing about their views on Heaven/Overworld/Afterlife.
