Just aguing for argument's sake, but your of winning something on a scratch ticket are comparatively good. More then 60% of tickets will win something, although i will grant you that a refund of the money you spent on a scratch ticket is less impressive then a free book.

You're totally right. I don't know why I transposed "1:3.4" into "3-4%" But I should be shot by the math police. :)
