Darn. Julie didn't win the Golden Heart.

I didn't get to read her book (yet) but I really wanted her to win.

And I see now what they were talking about at the conference. The photos are a bizarre amalgam of "whoa, how could you think that was flattering" combined with the "vaseline smeared "I'm looking thoughtful" glamor-shots" poses. Okay, I'm being too harsh. There are a couple of good ones in there. They remind me of 30-40 year old women getting their senior photos done, though.

Boy, it really makes me want to get out the camera and start doing some experiment with photo styles to prevent this from happening to me, someday.

Did I discuss the tree photo with you at WW? It's this glamorous, hair swinging over the shoulder looking pic my sister took in my back yard. It's pretty flattering, but so NOT ME! LOLOL! I put it up as a goof, but I've had so many compliments....hey. The picture I have on my bio page on my website is actually more like "me."

My sister takes great pics and I need her to do an updated one for me....no fingers on chin, looking "authorly" for me!
