In which we seek out our readers...

I've been contemplating paring down my friends list rather drastically, in preparation for the "Autumn's back in school, time to actually write rather than read LJ and forums all day..."
But today, Pandora's post got me to thinking that I should do this first.
"While I know most of the people on my friends list, I don't know everyone "well". Some people I know relatively well, others are on my freinds list because I want to get to know you more, or we have something else in common . Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I'm flattered, thank you.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...and....."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal."

Date: 2005-07-12 07:53 pm (UTC)Hmmm, something about me.....you know quite a bit already, but I don't think you know that I've gone back to sewing costumes professionally again. It's pretty neat this time; I've got a couple of steady clients and I don't have to do the stuff I don't like---no alterations, for instance. I'm getting to work with fabrics I could never afford and being told to do it right, don't worry about the cost. :)
Other than that, I'm still the same old (and getting older, damn) Mermaid-Crow.
