Has anyone who hears these words made the jump from "write-for-hire" fiction (like for gaming companies) out into the "private" publishing fields (Tor, etc)? If so, how do agents/editors view "write-for-hire" novelists... Can I expect to have my publishing experience looked down at (like I would expect self-published writers sometimes deal with?)

Any tips?
