I don't often filk, but this is a special offering for my dear friend Charmain, because she hates me...

Morgana and the Dragon (filked from Cynthia McQuillin's Gilda and the Dragon)


Sir John the ogre took a toll, the Dame Morgana seeking,
He found her in a dragon's bed, from 'neath the covers peeking.

"What seek you here, Sir John, my dear?" the dragon asked with guile.
The Tolltaker Knight could not but note the dragon's sated smile.
"Why smilest though, Lord Ivan, sir?" asked the Oni who's head was shaven.
"Why you'd smile too," Strigoi replied... "If you'd just eaten a raven."

"But what about your tolls," John cried, "Have you forgotten your duty?"
"There's more to life than reasonable rates," said the dragon who ogled her booty.
"Cease and desist," Sir John decried. "You aren't even getting paid!"
"There's more to life than money," Cried M. "And he's surely getting... aid."
 

"But that's no toll!" Sir John proclaimed. "What of your obligations?"
"The Bishop doesn't serve one man, she belongs to all the nations."
With gun in hand, he stood with ire, then turned and walked away,
As the Bird and the Wyrm ignored his pleas and went about their play.
"While smilest though, Lord Ivan, sir? asked the Ogre who's heart fell low.
"Why, you'd smile too, if you'd had her first," said the Dragon who made him eat crow.
