'm really enjoying the Bukisa stuff so far. It makes a fun "not my contracted work, but still writing" change from the gaming writing.

So far I've posted about

I posted a couple of new articles last night as well. One's informative (Snowball Shopping - Save Yourself A Bundle) and one's more community focused, Writers and Other Work-From-Home-Moms talking about the validation we as writers, sometimes receive from the strangest places. We'll see how they are received.

It's been really fun so far. Not a real money maker yet, but it's new and I'm still learning the passive income thing... We'll see!

I think one of the nice things about it is that anyone can do it. We all have our "things" we know how to do or have experience with that someone else might not. From "how to boil a perfect egg" to "5 things you should know before moving to the desert" (Boy, I wish I'd had that one a year and a half ago!) you don't have to have a degree or be a professional to share your knowledge with others.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the folks on my friends-list who've joined up have to share with the world. One has already posted a really interesting article on Real Reasons For Guilt Free Formula that I think will be really helpful for new moms or those about to have a baby.

If you'd like to give it a try, and share your views with the world, click here and sign up. Submitting content is really easy (although I've had a little trouble with wrestling it to actually post. Sometimes when I use the Publish Button after writing an article it doesn't look like it's published and I have to come back later to see if it really did or not. I'm sure it's just a glitch because it's still in beta.) I had my first article written and posted (and was getting hits on it) within an hour of signing up. It's really that easy.

How did you get the Bukisa gig, anyway?

Anyone can join, it's not really a gig as much as a content collector. It's passive income (paid per click at a very low rate - at this point 4.20 per 1000) but there's no limit on the articles you can contribute, and they stay there, collecting clicks, indefinitely, unlike, say a magazine where next issue wipes out this one.

It's definitely not going to replace the day job, but it's a fun little way to put ideas/experience out there.

Oh, Bukisa also has a bit of a pyramid scheme thing, where you get (As a bonus) 25% of what the folks who join under you bring in. So it's neat for those with writer friends. It doesn't take it away from them (so there's no reason not to sign up under some one) but gives it to you. It carries down 3 steps, with progressively smaller bonuses rising back up to you from lower tiers.

You should try it!
