Well, in a few hours, at least.
Up and finishing GenCon prep before heading out to the airport. I'll be using the White Wolf Booth as the center of my GenCon orbit, so if you're looking for me either drop me a line or ask for me there. They may know where I am, if anyone does. *grin*

But, before I go...

Jeremy, Matt and Monica are some of the nicest folks I've met, and it was a joy to chat with Jeremy about gaming and writing. (Flames Rising was nominated for Best Fan Product in this year's ENnie Awards, a well-deserved honor. If you're into horror or the World of Darkness or gaming, you should be reading them.)

I'd be totally jealous, but the main announcement I was looking for was already announced (today, in fact), and I'm wicked disappointed. might even make me take a break from gaming for a while.

One of my favorite systems is basically sitting in limbo.

I'm a huge fan of Privateer Press' Iron Kingdoms line, and it seems like they're putting it on hold indefinitely. I'm aggravated by the fact that we've been waiting for a revival of it for almost a year now, and frankly nothing is coming out of it.

they seem to be putting more time and energy into their miniatures line, and ignoring the rpg altogether. so I won't be supporting the mini's line.

It's unfortunate and frustrating, and honestly I'm getting more worked up than I should be, hence, me thinking I should probably take a break.

In Privateer Press' defense, War Machine is their cash cow. If War Machine was to go under all of a sudden, it would cripple their operations. So I agree it is unfortunate and frustrating, but it's kind of like how WotC has Magic and Dungeons and Dragons and White Wolf has their Storyteller system; the thing that helped make them famous gets the most time and money.

And I'm a huge fan of Iron Kingdoms! I want to know how the Occupation plays out in Llael! And will Ord side with Cygnar against Khador? I love my pseudo-italians. :/ And I want to see conversion rules for playing Skorne characters! I've always secretly supported the TRUE king of Cygnar...Vinter. ;)
