Date: 2008-06-19 03:25 am (UTC)Mine is very mild by comparison. Also very patchy - it's mostly because I forgot to reapply under shifting straps.

Date: 2008-06-19 03:51 pm (UTC)Even as a desert dweller prone to err on the side of putting sunscreen on even if I might not need it, I still forget on occassion. A few weeks ago I was going to pull weeds in the front yard for "less than an hour" so I didn't put any on. Of course "less than an hour" became three and a half hours, so I burned nicely, especially tender on the backs of my legs.

Banana boat no rub spray sunscreen is the best of the comertial brands, it works very well and dosen't have the greasy lotion feel (drys quick, very handy).
Brings you sweetend peppermint tea in your cool bath.

As someone who is allergic to the sun...
Date: 2008-06-20 07:47 pm (UTC)I use white vinegar mixed with the coldest water I can stand. It sucks the heat and the sting out of the burn. I follow that with a thick layer of pure aloe gel. Repeat often.
sorry for the ouchies.

Date: 2008-06-21 06:12 pm (UTC)HYDRATE. That burn will rob the rest of you of available water.
Careful, moist fuzzies!! :)
