I have a couple of plants which need homes now, and some which will need homes come the end of July...
Right now, I have three aloe vera plants, all in varying sizes. They're "not up to show quality" so the realtor wants them out of the house before it starts being shown... They are in small to medium pots, suitable for sitting on a counter, table or large-ish window sill.

Come the end of July, I have five plants that will need homes... Four of them have bright yellow/orange Marigold/Daisy looking plants in them. Three of these are in identical beige Rubbermade indoor/outdoor planters and would be great on a porch/beside a front door, etc. The fourth is in a /big/ beige Rubbermade decorative planter, and would be great on a patio or front porch. (It's heavy because of all the soil.) The fifth plant is a beige Rubbermade planter with a good sized chive plant in it. I've "headed" the flowers, so they may re-bloom later this summer. It wintered over last year outside and came back strong, so this could be the beginnings of a lovely little kitchen herb pot or the like.

Write me if you can come get the aloe ASAP, or to put in dibs on the flowering planters after we sell the house. You must come pick them up, I'm too insane to deliver them. :)

If no one else will adopt them I can find homes for all your orphan plants.

Does the realtor want you to hide your books, too? I'm currently reading an autobiographical book about a bibliophile couple whose realtor told them to do that, because homebuyers don't like books. Weird.

Not specifically, other than the "clutter eats equity, space = $" admonation. Our information was not "homebuyers don't like books" as much as "bookshelves full of books make the room look crowded and full, rather than open and inviting."

We cleared out our bookshelves, shelves, drawers and closets, packing most of the stuff that will go with us but which we won't need in the next few weeks away, since emptier rooms look bigger and are easier for the buyer to picture themselves in.

I carefully left out a few, artsy or interesting ones, like my leatherbound Poe/Shakespeare/Grimm collections, etc.

I will happily rescue some of your plants and I'm sure I'll have time before the end of July to come get them... I'm definitely interested in the aloes as I used to have one but it is long gone now... :)
