In which we go back...
Nov. 28th, 2004 10:38 amHad a lovely signing session yesterday, which mainly consisted of me handing out bookmarks and talking to young teen girls about anime. Even the 85 year old conspiracy theorist who stopped to talk was charming and sweet in his own "I'll never get published because my novel about the 30 smartest people in the world getting killed off on a luxury liner by a serial killer who works for the new world order threatens the reality of the real new world order who control publishing and every other industry" kind of way. I gave out all of the last of my bookmarks and had to make some quick-and-dirty black and white ones today, as it was a great way to open conversation with people. Also made myself a sign that will hopefully prevent the "five minutes into the conversation "Oh, you're the author?"" questions. :)
Many thanks to graphic_feline who stopped by to meet me from Illustrated Dame. Had a blast chatting with her and was thrilled that she got her own signing set up!
I'll be down there again today, from noon to four pm, so if you are in the area or bored, come on by! :) I have dishes of kisses (the chocolate kind) to share! :)
