I'm listed on this site of "Notable Women RPG Authors". I don't know that I've ever been "notable" before!

Of course you're notable. You have, in fact, now been officially Noted. :-) Congrats!

...and yes, I'm jealous.

Dear, you are notable just on basic principle, let alone for your work in the RPG field. Still, congrats!!

However, I hate to say it, but I'm more curious now about who would make a list for TRIVIAL Women RPG Authors.

oh

I didn't realize you'd done work on promethean as well.

that's a really good series.

congrats!

which reminds me: I got it into my head about six months ago to do a game based on sort of a superhero-genre-meets-ancient-myth... then I just recently heard about Scion:Hero

you white-wolf kids preempted me again! ;-P
can't wait to see what's next.

Cool! Go, you!

There are several factual errors on that page, though. Who would I contact to clarify and/or fix 'em?

It was great meeting you this past weekend. Let's stay in touch!

(And how the hell did the list-maker miss Teeowyn Woodruff? She worked on tons of stuff for White Wolf, TSR and WotC (before and after the merger), including Vampire and D&D 3.0.)

Er, having only seen credits rather than any bio stuff, I had no idea that Teeuwynn was a woman. I've added her now, though.

Cool. Thanks. Knowing Teeowynn personally, I keep forgetting that her name is kinda ambiguous. :)

Also thanks for compiling that list in the first place. There are so many misconceptions about RPGs being "a guy thing" that many talented women get forgotten when the subject comes up. I appreciate your post about those oft-ignored authors.

A few notes I'd like to add to your list:

* Nicky Rea and Jackie Cassada were also line-editors for Ravenloft, designers and line-editors for Changeling, and contributing authors to D&D, Mage, Werewolf, and many other lines.

* Kathleen Ryan was also a core design contributor for Mage 1st and 2nd editions, and was the graphic designer for Mage during its classic run. She's also the author of a half-dozen WoD novels. Her work on Mage 2nd Edition and the Mage Tarot won two GAMA awards and an RPGA award.

* Nichole Landroos and Lisa Stevens were also founding members of White Wolf Game Studio, where both contributed design work to the original Vampire: The Masquerade.

* Jennifer Hartshorn was not a "contributing author" to Wraith - she was its original co-designer and line-editor. She also contributed design work to Changeling, managed Dark Ages, and headed Vampire: The Masquerade in between Andrew Greenberg and Rob Hatch. In addition, she wrote and edited for Fading Suns and Mage while founding two live-action game studios, Chimerea Interactive and White Hart Interactive.

* Other folks I would add:

- J. Porter Wiseman (design contributor for Euthanatos and Mage: The Sorcerers Crusade)

- Jessica Hammer (co-author on the Deliria book Everyday Heroes, and a regular contributor to Game Chef.

- Nancy Collins (White Wolf fiction author)

- Storm Constantine (designer, publisher and author of the Wraethuthu RPG; also a contributing author to Warhammer and Mage: The Sorcerers Crusade)

- Lindsay Woodcock (editor, designer and contributing author on Mage, Abberant, Kindred of the East, Vampire: The Dark Ages, Fading Suns and Deliria)

Thanks!

- Phil Brucato

Hi, there. Having put you on, I can explain that "Notable" for me was based on having multiple and/or prominent/significant credits. So more prominent or sole author credit would count for more, but contributing author to many books also counts.

(I guess "Trivial" would be something like being one of eight authors on a single RPG book.)
