1) Exalted: In Northern Twilight comes out tomorrow. Look for it at any Waldenbooks/Borders/Barnes and Noble. If they don't have it, ask them to get it. I will thank you personally later! :)

2) Garou: Brianna's still dead. I've not played my Nunnehi more than once in almost a year, and should retire her. The permanent cross-venue between Garou/Changeling is just a pain in the ass for both me and the STs, and the difference between the Nunnehi Umbra and the Garou Umbra conditions really became evident just before ICC when I did play her at a Garou game. I'm considering taking up the interesting offer post-ICC and creating an Athro/Elder for the last few months of this chronicle, fuzzy wise. I've made a post offering to play someone's ancestors if they want but noone's sent me anything, so I guess noone really wants me to.

3) Vampire: Kicking around ideas for a Daeva, possibly Circle of the Crone. Gotta find something cool to go with my neat new coat. :)

4) Werewolf: The Forsaken: Rough draft done, working on polishing it before sending in the rough draft.

5) Courtesan: Doing research on Venetian Courtesans for my next book. It's good to read instead of write for a while.

6) Orycon: Orycon is next weekend. I'm looking forward to doing some schmoozing and having some social time! Not to mention being on my first panels and doing a reading! If any one has read INT (since it came out at ICC) and has suggestions of passages that they think would make good reading material (IE: For a public reading) Please let me know.

7) Reviews: Many folks have asked me what the best thing they can do to help my career out. WRITE REVIEWS. Amazon.com, white-wolf.com and many bookseller sites (Barnes and Noble.com, waldenbooks.com, etc) have "write a review of this book" options. Truthful feedback is a godsend in this business. If you have critique or suggestions on how to make my writing better, please let me know. If you have praise, that's great too. Also, TELL YOUR FRIENDS. I got turned on to the Dresden Files by my friend CyranoCyrano. I've personally told dozens of folks about Jim Butcher and his books. If you actually read my stuff and like it, tell folks. Tell your mom, tell your friends, tell the lady at the library or the bookstore. Tell your gaming group, tell your classmates, tell your dog groomer... Word of mouth is the absolute best thing you can offer a writer if you like their work. Not only does it spread the word about their books, but it also paves the way for others to do the same.

8) Sims2: I'm very frustrated with SIMS2. It's jerky on my computer, even after I defragged and tossed a bunch of stuff. I dislike the "pivotting" views, things get in the way and it's just not as easy to play as the original was. Yes, the people are cooler. Yes, there's more options. Yes, I like having more "reaction" from my little Sims. But I don't get lost in the game as much, because it's so much more complex to keep on top of. I dislike having to constantly swivel my camera angle and wait for a reaction, I keep mis-clicking on things because it's so jerky... I'm going to try it on the new computer and see how that goes.

You could come be an ancestor of mine..

Of course I'll tell my local bookstores to order it and when it arrives I'll go to the store and make sure it's placed face-out on the shelves...!

I assume your book is going to be available at Orycon and you will be doing autographs? :) I want to get a copy and I want you to sign it. :)

If it isn't available, let me know. I will try to get one at the book store and bring it for you to sign it this weekend. :)

Three vendors (Lady Jayne's Books, In Other Words and Book Universe (from Eugene)) have said they'll be carrying my books at Orycon in the Dealer's Room. I'd be happy (thrilled!) to sign stuff for you there!

So glad you're home safe and sound from Europe! Thank you for the beautiful post card!

They prereleased it at ICC (White Wolf brought some copies to sell, because they can do that, being the publishers and all...). But it's not available through bookstores until today. Although noone I can find in the area has gotten it in yet. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed it will be available for the folks who are supposed to stock it for Orycon this weekend. Eeek.

I would've asked you to play one of my ancestors, but no more Wendigo can be made...
