In which we ponder Gmail...

Since I'm on a laptop rather than my desktop computer for the time being, I'm using straight Gmail to handle my email account.

I'm wondering - is there a way to collect various 'threads' into a folder in Gmail? For example, I'm currently working on a project with various other folks - let's call it Number6. I'm also working on another project with some of them - let's call it Jailbait. Can I sort the mailings I'm getting about Number6 into one folder and the ones about Jailbait into another, and refer back to them that way, using Gmail? I know I can do it in Thunderbird, which is what I was using to process my mail on my desktop, but Gmail seems to want to keep things only by thread, which makes it hard to keep track of all the various conversations going on in each of the two projects.

Does anyone know?

WOOT! They have accepted our offer (actually, they accepted our counter-counter offer) and, barring problems with the building inspection or VA appraisal, the house on Greenlee, one block down from where the Viking lived throughout his high school years will be ours!

The building inspection is Saturday, so keep your fingers crossed that they don't find any trouble with the furnace or evaporative cooler, or anything major!

If all goes well, we could be in our new place in as little as 6 weeks!
