Last year we bought a 16 foot round Zodiac (yes, the folks who make Jacques Cousteau's boats) above ground pool from the original owners for the Viking for a Father's Day present. (
It's similar, but not identical to this oneWe put it up last year (which I won't fib and say was easy, it took us a couple of hours to put together after we leveled the ground), but it did go together great and when we used it, we loved it. It's a good 4 and a half to five feet deep, enough to really splash around and swim but not so deep that you need to worry about "the deep end".
However, we used it about 6 times during the course of the summer, and with this summer's travel schedule we're likely not going to even get that much use out of it.
So, we're selling it.
These things go for 1600$ new (OMGWTF?) and this one is in great condition and has been stored indoors all winter.
We'd like to get $300 out of it, and would consider bartering in part for furniture (indoor or outdoor), a chainsaw, a gas grill, or... make us an offer? If you'd like it and use it but think that's too high, talk to us, we'll negotiate.
I want my garage back. You can apparently leave these up year round with a cover (We don't have a cover, but it does come with the pump/etc and a solar blanket.) But we didn't know that, or how to take care of it if we did, so we took it back down. You'll need a /large/ car or truck/van to move it, or several trips with a small one if you're local.
Drop us a line if you're interested, as we're putting it up on Craigslist as well, and if it doesn't go there, we're going to include it in our tag sale in a few weeks.
