In which we update
Aug. 25th, 2005 07:37 amLast night was very productive... When Pat went to bed around 10 I had just passed the 25% mark on my novel, and by the time I went to bed, after 1am, I was at 26.6. So, that's 1600 words in 3 hours, not bad at all. Had I not know that I was going to have to be back up at 6am, I'd have stayed up later and finished the scene, but alas, if I wanted the car today, I had to get up early.
So, now it's 7:30, I'm up, have dropped Pat off at work, taken out the trash/recycling (As it's thursday), made myself an omelette and am preparing to begin writing again.
In other news, many many thanks to those who offered their congratulations yesterday about the P&P fan awards "runner up"ness. They are all so heartily appreciated. And many thanks to those of you who write in In Northern Twilight as a candidate for the best fiction category. I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me.
In other, other news, I picked up a little editing job for a game publisher out of the UK. It's just for a little 64 page pdf modern d20 file they're putting out, but it looks like a fun job and the check will buy me a decent little desk for my office, so I can put this folding table back into the basement where it belongs. And, if they like my work, it looks like I might get first shot at being the editor for their first print project which comes out later this year and is based on Urban Legends. I think that would be a hoot. Check them out at Steam Power Publishing
Oh, and I'm down another half pound.
Life is good.

The pounds go down as the words go up. That's the way we likes it. :)
