For those of you who do not know this fact, Mistcat is a goddess.

I have discovered the ultimate in "professional writing decadence."

I am currently sequestered in my office, typing away while my feet are merrily bubbling in a hot, vibrating foot spa, which the goodly Mistcat did see fit to bestow upon me for a Yule present.

I can only say this. I may never leave my desk again.

*hugs* Thank you, Mist. :)

Realized that if In Northern Twilight is available November 1st, it would be lovely to have someone selling copies at Orycon. Started calling bookvendors listed as being in the dealer's room and explaining, and may have made bookstore contacts in Eugene, Burien and Portland about it, including "In Other Words", the women's bookstore on Hawthorne in Portland that I would have never thought about marketing my book to otherwise.

Also ended up, through a strange series of "You might want to call blah..." events, talking to Duane, the guy in charge of Sci-Fi for University Bookstore in Seattle (apparently a huge store)... I offered to stop by in January when I am coming up for a booksigning at a comic store in Seattle, and he tenatively invited me to come up in December for a Sci-Fi night they've been doing once or twice a year up there, with local authors and such... It's on a Wednesday, but I bet I can make it!

Didn't get a huge amount written so far today, but I did wrap up two different scenes, tucking all the threads in nicely. I'll probably do more tonight, but I think I might like to take a nap first. Two nights at Embers in a row make Jess a sleepy girl.
