Went into last weekend knowing I wouldn't get any writing done. It was the last big camping SCA event of the season for us, and Pat had a great time fighting despite a multitude of factors, including the weather, so I'm sure it was worth it.

Yesterday I only got a bit of writing in, due in part to having to refresh my memory of what was going on. Today was better, and I have a feeling this will be a very productive weekend. We're going to Pat's dad's and I'm bringing the laptop to work while they fish/do the beach, etc.

I didn't think anyone in the world still made home-made preserves other than Susan Oldham. You must bring some to ICC. oh yes. :)

No ICC for the Jessness. Maybe next year, when my books are out. But this year, I have not enough money, not enough time and too many other obligations to go.

My first jar of preserves was dedicated to her, as she always is so sweet about gifting us with her rose jelly (which my daughter /loves/ as it is pink!). Unfortunately while the concord grape preserves taste wonderful, they didn't set up. I'm looking up rescue methods as we speak, but they may end up simply being used as concord grape syrup/ice cream/pancake topping, as they are already sealed.

Thanks, hon. I'm really not, though. Hopefully I can just keep plugging away at it, and this weekend will be a good working weekend while we're at Pat's Dad's place. I've promised myself a trip to the casino if I meet/exceed my goals every day! :)
