Definately congrats. Pat will be the new Director of Technology for HEC (Hampshire Educational Collaborative). It's a big jump, career wise (although the pay doesn't really reflect it as much as we'd like.) But their benefits package gets progressively better over time (after 5 years, they are paying 75% of the insurance premiums, etc) and they have a regular annual performance raise, rather than the "Twice in ten years, once when we had to actually quit to get more money" that he's got at the school district here.
And Northampton is a fabulous little town, a Mecca of culture and yet quaint and rural. And, apparently they have a gay nightclub that becomes a Goth club on Tuesday nights... Sound like anywhere we know? :)
