I would seriously suggest you consider full-time temping. Since you're not especially interested in a career (as you already have one as a writer), and you need something that is 9 to 5, M to F, and a lot of companies are using temps in this poor economy, it can be decent work. Most temp agencies do actually offer benefits if you stick with them long enough. Just have a serious conversation with several agencies about whether they can actually keep you working 40 hours a week.
