In which we ask for good thoughts...

This afternoon, my Valkyrie is going to be taking one of her beloved rat-girls to the vet. The likely outcome is euthenasia, as Ananna was diagnosed with inoperable mammary tumors several months ago, which have grown large enough to hamper her mobility. Anana's been a trooper, not letting the lumps bother her, physically or personality wise for months. However, in the past day or two, they seem to be affecting her. She's having a much harder time with balance and mobility, she's not leaving her little house/nest voluntarily, and she's breathing harder/with more difficulty.

This isn't the first time the Valkyrie's dealt with death, but it's the first time as a pet owner that she's had to make the decision to have an animal put down rather than allow its suffering to continue.

Actually it's the first time I've had to, too.

We're pretty miserable here, so good thoughts are welcome, especially around quarter til 5, when the appointment is scheduled.

I know that some of you are a little into comics, and may have a passing interest in the paranormal. (My gods, I almost choked on the rampant understatement in that sentence!)

A friend of mine (cyranocyrano) is involved in the creation of a new web comic that does not suck! It's called The Paranormals, and while it's theoretically targeted at 8-13 year olds, it's really a fun read!

And there's a related card game here, since I'm also under the impression that some of you might have a fondness for gaming...

The comic is in danger of being yanked from the site if they don't generate some traffic (and potentially get someone to buy some ad space), so go and read them, and then talk about them to your friends, game/comic sites and in your blogs (whether you like them or not. Good reviews and word of mouth are great. Bad reviews and word of mouth are still better than being unknown! There is no such thing as bad PR.)
