In which we want to see...
Nov. 21st, 2005 06:10 amFor those of you who may watch the Country Music Television channel (CMT):
They're apparently running a blurb about the concert Johnny Cash did in San Quenton Prison some 35+ years ago as an advertisement for "Walk the Line", the new Jacquin Phoenix movie about Cash... They apparently show some of the actual concert footage from the SQP concert, and in it, apparently, is footage of my father (My sister says she saw him), who was working as a guard during that concert.
I don't know the whys and wherefores of such things. But I would love to see this. If anyone knows how to get a screen cap or clip of it, please let me know.
He's tallish, likely skinny, short dark hair, hawkish nose, deep set eyes... in case anyone else wants to play "try to spot Jess' dad in the antique footage".
EDIT: More info: It's CMT's Johnny Cash at San Quenton show... it's on tomorrow night at 9pm, next tuesday at 9:30 and twice more between now and the first week in December. My dad is the guard who, in the last half of the show, brings Cash a requested glass of water. I've written CMT to find out if we can purchase the show on DVD or something...
