As usual, I procrastinated until the last moment on a bunch of things... so, as usual, I'm in an uber-productive frenzy... I'll keep this short.

The werewolf novel (which I'm calling Lupus Grex until they help me come up with a better title) is officially sent off to the publisher. It's not perfect, but it's as polished as I can get it with a non-static set of world rules and no feedback yet from the editor. I've no idea when it will be back in my in-box and need rewriting, but for now, it's done and I'm happy.

Orycon is... well, it's right now. I'm going to go finish packing and head out. If you're there this weekend, come see me. My first public reading of In Northern Twilight is at 1:30 on Sunday, and I'm nervous as hell. :)

"Buy my book, tell your friends, write reviews" has become my mantra. :) It's not that I think this particular book will make my career. I have no delusions about the very limited number of books that White Wolf puts out in their media-tie-ins, but I figure it's a place to start building a fan base and getting my name out there. And, since most media-tie-ins tend to be "faceless" (IE: people buy them for the book, not the author) then I'm going to have to work twice as hard to achieve half-as-much recognition.

And, ultimately, good writing and recognition are both vital to a career in the field.

Not to mention a good dose of luck. :)

So, wish me luck, here I go. :)
