In which we pause a second...

I'm frantically working on the redlines for the Changeling: The Lost SAS I'm currently working on. (Title yet unannounced, but it's an homage to Chuck Wendig's "The Fear-Maker's Promise" that I hope will make it through the editing process and onto the final product.)

As I'm looking for the thumb drive that contains some files I need, I came across part of my loot from GenCon. I rarely wear t-shirts, but this one struck me and I had to have it, so the Viking bought it for me as a memento from the con and an homage to having won my first ENnie (I think I can say I won an ENnie, as part of the writing team that won Best Writing and Best Product of the Year, right? That's not inappropriate? I worry about such things way too much, I think...)

Anyway, it's a cute baby-doll tee in a pale blue color with pretty script purple writing that reads: "Nerd Goddess".

*giggles*

I shall wear it with pride. :)

And now, it's back to the grindstone! Diet RockStar, you are mana to my brain!

yay diet rockstar

That's the only one of those energy drinks I can drink, and it kept me up when I needed it to.

Rhia (another friend of mine and also RPG author) once aspired to becoming a nerd Goddess. So much so that even though she didn't care for console computer games, she tried to become good at them. So she'd be the true Goddess of all things geek-atude.

I loved that story.

I know Rhia! :)
After GenCon this year, I've come to realize that there's no way I can aspire to be involved in every flavor of geekdom that exists. There's just not enough hours in the day to even dabble in it all. So, I'll settle for the things I do love and have time for, and do them to the best of my ability. :)

I was just kickin' around an idea for a Changeling SAS involving a troll under a bridge . . . hmm . . .

I'm very much looking forward to reading your SAS.

Sounds like a cute t-shirt.

I haven't had a chance to check out the ENnie results. Congrats! And yes, you can definitely say you won! :)

You guys won? Huzzah! Congrats!!

Yeah, just a bit. :)
We won gold in Best Production Values, Best Interior Art, Best Writing and Best Product of the Year.
And silver in for the Quickstart Guide (best free product) and the SAS Fear-maker's Promise (best electronic book).

It was a rather squeeful evening. :)

I'm glad to see Changeling do so well. It's a great game. =)

Yeehaw! Good luck with the current grindstone. And molto congratulations!

(Recently I saw a thing at Fry's -- basically little blue-food-coloring-colored shots of glucose or fructose plus vitamins or ginseng or something, in little potion-shaped bottles, being sold as Mana. The design for the display boxes was SO WoW-like that I suspect they are probably begging Blizzard for a merchandising license. So now I guess there literally is Mana! :-)
