Wednesday morning, the Valkyrie and I leave for Indianapolis!

We'll be arriving in Indy around 11pm om Wednesday night, staying at a hotel near the airport Wednesday and driving to the con Thursday morning bright and early. (Due to poor scheduling on my part, the Viking won't be coming to join us until 8pm-ish on Thursday, but he will be there!)

This is my tentative schedule thus far. I'll keep updating it as I add new activities! If we've planned something and it's not here, ping me! If you want to hang out and see a slot where you either want to be added to an existing outing or want to claim a meal/coffee/chat/wander together for a bit/game, let me know!

GenCon Schedule

 Wednesday

1pm – 11pm     Transit to Indy

11pm-12pm     Hotel/Sleep

 

Thursday

9am – 10am     Taxi to Con

*Noon – 2pm     Hunter Panel – Embassy Chancellor

*4pm – 6pm       Write for WW – Embassy Chancellor

8pm -               Viking Arrives! HURRAY!

8pm - midnight  Run around and visit folks (Open for hanging out!)

8pm – 12         Vampire Larp (NOPE - Viking arrives, introducing him to people, etc.)

 

Friday

*11am – 1pm     Signing at White Wolf booth (Crossover Exalted/WoD)

*2pm – 4pm       Write for WW – Embassy Chancellor

*7pm – 10pm     ENnie Awards – Westin Grand Ballroom

8pm – 12         Vampire Larp (NOPE – Ennies)

 

Saturday

11:30am-1pm  Lunch with Joseph Carrikier

8pm – 12         Vampire LARP (Nope, White Wolf Party)

6pm - 7pm     Dinner with Jonathan Lavallee

 8pm - 12      White Wolf Party

Sunday

1pm-2pm         Lunch with Hunter Team

 4pm – 5pm       Taxi to Airport

5pm – 6:45pm  Wait for Plane

6:45-midnight   Transit Home

I am so pleased that Hunter is getting redone. That was my favorite of the WoD stuff (especially since I got to play test the base book). If I were still doing larp or tt gaming I would be all over it and probably begging you to introduce me to the team :)

There is a Changeling LARP. I don't know what time it's being held (Friday afternoon, I believe), but it is on the schedule. Just not on JESS' schedule. :)

That hanging out Friday night thing sounds splendid. This is my first GenCon. I don't know the etiquette yet. Is it considered crass to talk shop?

discretion, of course, is necessary, as a con surrounded by 40K gamers is not the place to blab about super sekrit projects, etc... but yeah, talking shop is commonplace. :)

It's a trade show for folks like us. Talking shop is kind of expected (and encouraged to a degree, since sometimes this is the ONLY time of year we get to meet).

You are on nearly all the same panels as me. Weird.

I have a dinner with Lulu on Thursday, then will probably drop in on the Vampire LARP for a couple of hours. The rest of my schedule is... dense.

May I ask what you're meeting with Lulu about? Is it work stuff, or a personal project?

Pat arrives Thursday night, 8-9ish. I want to take him around and introduce him to everyone right off, so we'll probably be checking out the LARP, but not playing. I didn't want to abandon him not knowing anyone post-dealer's room closing, his first night there, and the rest of the nights of the LARP (and the daytime Changeling) I'm scheduled to do stuff over the top of them. Crazy, but... eh... it's a "work" con, so... what can you do?

Work stuff. Mostly it's just to get to know some of the people there, talk about our partnership, score a free meal. The usual. :)
