In which we read all about it....

Great interview with Alexander James Adams (formerly Heather Alexander) one of my favorite musical performers. Awesome of Just Out to cover our favorite Celtic fiddling god.

The Interview is on pages 24 and 25.

Yup- a very nice article. I'm glad he's so much more comfortable in his skin, now...

I'll be getting together with Alec Monday evening to work on some tunes for this year's Faire in the Grove. We did a tune together last year at the event. Electric fiddle and electric harp - it should sound pretty good!

I am utterly filled with envy. I'd wanted to sing with Heather since I first heard her, and Alec even more so.

Paint me green, just post-St. Paddy's Day. :)

On the other hand, I would LOVE to hear you guys together. SWOON!

Miss An Tir SOOOO BAD!

When's The Faire in the Grove?

It's April 26th, out at Pacific U in Forest Grove. I've had the chance to play with Heather/Alec a few times over the years, either harp or bodhran. Always lots of fun. Last year at Faire in the Grove, Alec and I both played bodhrans while my apprentice Eala sang "Wolfen One." Pictures are on my LJ page.

*jealous too* I got that one opportunity and have wished for years that I could do it again!

I found this particularly poignant.

"When we stop saying maybes we just start dying. No matter what age we are. Each of us is a magical creature. Each of us has all that we need—we just need to believe that. It’s never easily done. But if you want to be a hero that’s what you have to do; you just have to believe"

... I don't mean this to sound rude as it's not intended that way.

But.

Oh, that's what happened! I had absolutely no idea what was going on with her dissapearance and am more than slightly floored at the moment. Good for him! Just...wow.

OryCon?

A friend called me yesterday with the tantalizing possibility that he will be at OryCon in Portland in November.
Not sure how confirmable that is, yet.
