Writer's Block: Secret Ballot
[Error: unknown template qotd]
There were three people ahead of me in line when I came in, plus the five or six sitting in the booths doing their ballots.
When I left, there were probably four or five behind me, waiting to vote, along with the five or six booths.
Small town with numerous voting stations, I didn't expect crowds. The ladies working the table were quick and efficient, and answered my questions in a friendly and professional manner. I overheard them saying that the "crowd" came in when the station opened at 6am. I was, I think, voter number 79, so "crowd" is a relative term.
I got a free sticker, and the gal at Starbucks (I picked up chai on the way, just in case there was a long line) made sure to tell me to come back and get my free coffee when I was done voting.
